An exciting opportunity to lead the growing Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama (BGCSA) and P.O.I.N.T.E. Academy is open, and we are looking for our next Chief Executive Officer to make a positive impact on kids’ lives. We’re seeking candidates who will lead the overall planning and operation of the organization – while providing leadership, direction and support to the Board of Directors. You will be responsible for bringing the organization’s mission to life, as you work to ensure that area kids and teens achieve great futures by delivering a safe and fun space, creating an engaging Club experience, and managing caring professionals to guide them along the way. As a proof point, 54% of Club alumni said the Club saved their life, so the impact you and your team will have on these kids and teens will be life changing. 

The ambition for the future of the organization is to maximize BGCSA‘s & POINTE Academy positive impact in South Alabama by increasing the number of youths served and improving program efficacy. The new CEO will be tasked with setting the vision, garnering the community’s support and harnessing the resources to achieve impact improvement.  

As Chief Executive Officer for P.O.I.N.T.E. Academy, LLC, the incumbent oversees the planning, implementing, directing, and administering of the Alternative Education Program and other programs related to students determined to be at-risk; serving as a resource on curriculum and program operations to school personnel and the Board; and maintaining staffing to ensure that the program objectives are achieved within budget. The position supervises the Executive Program Director, responsible for general administration and operations, and related subject matter professionals.
