The Mobile Chapter of Executive Women International (EWI) held a book rally on Sept. 27th at the Sonny Callahan branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama. Executive Women International is a professional women’s organization based around three core tenets: connections, careers, and communities.
Alycia Young, EWI member and Manager of Donor Relations at Boys & Girls Clubs and Sharmyn Wall, Administrative Assistant at Airbus held a party with the kids complete with snacks while they watched the virtual book readings by EWI members. Each elementary-aged Club member received a bag stuffed with school supplies and swag from the EWI members, and our very own Director of Academics, Rosa Monteiro, gave each child a book of their own. The Club kids also had a special treat when Miss Baldwin County, Brianna Burrell read them “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” by well-loved author Dr. Seuss.
