MOBILE, AL – Girls ages 10-13 years old from the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama are invited to attend the Advocates for Girls Expanding our Vision Empowerment Conference Friday, March 18. The event scheduled from 10 am -3 pm is located at Junior League of Mobile, 57 N Sage Ave, Mobile, AL 36607.

Expanding Our Vision

The conference aims to engage, empower, and equip girls with the knowledge and skills to amplify their voices, be authentic versions of themselves, and propel them to pursue leadership roles in the future.

Cassaundra Burks, Private Banker, Renasant Bank, will deliver the keynote address. Plans also include forums with local women leaders, networking opportunities, and breakout sessions. Conference attendees (middle school girls) can also compete for scholarships, and girls making a difference within the Clubs will receive recognition for their contributions.

“At Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama, we witness daily the impact of our programs specifically designed for girls,” states Brenda Carlisle, BGCSA Chief Philanthropy Officer.

“They come from different circumstances, and some face challenges. However, they have the potential to excel and accomplish great things.”
