Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama and WKRG Team Up to Raise Over $69,000
(Mobile, AL) – Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama is delighted to announce the overwhelming success of the “Our City, Our Future 2023 Telethon,” hosted in partnership with WKRG News 5. Over $39,000 was raised from community donations, which unlocked the maximum dollar-for-dollar match of $30,000 from the Daniel Foundation, totaling more than $69,000 in funds raised.
The Telethon, held in Mobile, Alabama, was broadcasted live on WKRG News 5 from 6 am to 7 pm. The event featured interviews with staff and inspiring stories from Club kids and Youth of the Year. Donors could call the station and pledge one-time or recurring donations, transforming lives in the local community.
