Panda Cares, The Philanthropic Foundation of Panda Express, and Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama open Panda Cares Center of Hope
(MOBILE, AL) Board members, elected officials, and Panda Express local employees were on hand for the ribbon cutting of the new Panda Cares Center of Hope at the Kiwanis Branch of Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama yesterday.
The Center of hope is funded with a $45,000 grant from Panda Cares, the Philanthropic Foundation of Panda Express. It includes a newly renovated space with computers, academic learning tools, art supplies, reading nooks, and other areas for them to learn, engage, and grow. Each Center of Hope is a holistic strategy intended to reinforce and enhance what youth learn during the school day while creating experiences that invite them to fall in love with learning.
Panda Cares representatives gave the Club an additional $10,000 donation for continued efforts to promote learning and engagement. Sam Jones, Alabama House of Representatives, District 99, donated a check for $2,500.
