We are delighted to share the news that Harrietta Eaton has been appointed the Family Engagement Coordinator for Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama (BGCSA) in this role, she will oversee the implementation of the new Trauma Informed/Mental Health Grant, generously funded through the Alabama Alliance. As a crucial member of the BGCSA Club Operations team, Eaton will play a vital role in providing assessment, outreach, referrals to community social service and other resources.
She will have active engagement with Club staff, youth, and their families, with the ultimate aim of developing an evidence-based and responsive emotional, social, and mental health program. As the Family Engagement Coordinator, Eaton will also take on the responsibility of training all BGCSA Staff in the principles outlined in the PRAXIS curriculum. The overarching objective of this role is to effectively address and respond to the emotional, social, and mental health needs of Club youth and their families, contributing to the transformation of BGCSA into a trauma-informed organization.
