Who We Are

For generations, Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama has created safe places where young people can learn, play, lead and belong.

Our Mission

To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Our Vision

We are one Club in multiple locations, helping kids find community where they learn, play and grow.

Our History

Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama has been rooted in the community since 1957. Founded by community leaders B. R. “Babe” Wilson Jr., Arthur Tonsmeire Jr. and Jack Harris, the organization serves young people ages 6–18 through safe Club environments, caring mentors and opportunities that open doors to great futures.

Our Values

We believe every young person deserves a safe place to belong, caring adults who listen, opportunities to lead and the support to reach their full potential. We serve with integrity, respect, compassion and an unwavering commitment to South Alabama’s youth.
