Club members received a special surprise when Mobile’s own The Red Clay Strays stopped by the Kiwanis Boys & Girls Club for a live performance.
Youth from Boys & Girls Clubs across the BGCSA organization had the opportunity to attend, giving members from throughout our community the chance to share in an afternoon they won’t soon forget.
The visit brought music, excitement and plenty of smiles to the Club as members gathered for the surprise performance. For many of our youth, it was a unique opportunity to experience a live performance from a band with roots right here in Mobile.
Mobile Mayor Spiro Cheriogotis and Councilman Corey Penn also joined us for the special afternoon, along with BGCSA supporters and members of the community.
Experiences like this are part of what makes Boys & Girls Clubs about so much more than what happens during regular Club hours. They give our members opportunities to experience something new, connect with people from their own community and create memories with youth from Clubs across South Alabama.
