South Alabama showed up for great futures.
The 2026 Our City, Our Future Telethon brought Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama and WKRG News 5 together for a full day dedicated to sharing the Club’s mission and raising critical support for young people throughout South Alabama.
Throughout the June 24 Telethon, BGCSA staff, board members, alumni, volunteers, and community supporters answered phones and shared stories about the impact of the Clubs.
By the conclusion of the campaign, 188 donors contributed $71,645 to support Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama. Volunteers, including BGCSA board members and community supporters, helped answer calls and connect donors with the mission throughout the event.
The 2026 Telethon demonstrated what can happen when the community comes together around South Alabama’s youth. Every contribution helped support the safe spaces, caring mentors, programs, and opportunities Club members rely on as they learn, grow, and prepare for their futures.
