Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama announces new board members

Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama (BGCSA) announced the election of five new board members. They members listed below will serve a three-year term:

Bruce Coldsmith is a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial and works with clients on retirement planning, tax planning, and investments. He holds certifications in financial planning, portfolio management, and retirement planning.  Before working in finance, Coldsmith taught biology and worked as a track and cross-country coach.  He received his master’s degree from James Madison University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas. He’s married and the father of four children.

Angela Coleman, Ph.D., is associate vice president of institutional effectiveness at the University of South Alabama.  She’s held several positions in higher education, including working as an administrator, instructor, and in research. She received a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University, a master’s degree from Temple University, and Ph.D. in Educational Research and Evaluation from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a native of Wilmington, DE.

Robin Hanes works as an investment counselor with Leavell Investment Management, Inc. She has 19 years of experience in the financial industry and previously held management positions in commercial sales, portfolio management, underwriting, and investments.  She is a certified financial planner and a graduate of Auburn University.  Hanes is community-oriented and serves on boards including Victory Health, JH Outback, and Partners for Environmental Progress.

Dr. Eddrice M. McMullan is a staff anesthesiologist at the University of South Alabama Children’s and Women’s Hospital. She’s practiced medicine for 20 years. She received her medical degree from the University of South Alabama and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Auburn University. Dr. McMullan is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology – Diplomate, Society of Pediatric Anesthesia, and Mobile Metropolitan Medical Society – Vice President.

Nick Sanders, vice-president, commercial relationship manager for BancorpSouth, oversees business development and community outreach. Previously, he worked in commercial lending and commercial credit analysis. He has a master’s degree from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and a bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University.
